White men are currently being pulled in two concerning directions.
The political left is telling us to engage in social justice work, while telling us that we are inherently flawed and don’t belong. Meanwhile, the political right is telling us that we are inherently flawless – recruiting us into the manosphere and white nationalism while trying to convince us that it’s everyone else who is the problem.
Both narratives are wrong.
WE ARE HUMAN. THESE AREN’T THE ONLY OPTIONS.
The problem is how we’ve been socialized: to show up in ways that disconnect us from our humanity.
We’ve been taught to suppress and oppress: suppress our emotions, which hurts us, and oppress others, which hurts people around us.

There is a better way forward, that helps us
(1) heal from our socialization through storytelling
(2) build healthier intra- and interpersonal communication skills
(3) foster accountability to align our actions with our values
THIS IS CONSCIOUS ACTION:
A communal learning experience for white men to restore our
humanity and wholeness through stories and skills.
For White Men
We offer Conscious Action™ for individuals socialized or embodied as white men. White men are often underrepresented in racial and gender justice work and overrepresented in exerting power over others. In this intimate learning space, white men can build community with one another. Together, we will work to replace racism and misogyny with love and community; replace our social conditioning with our true values; and replace domination and control with collaboration and care.

For Organizations
We offer Conscious Action™ for organizations by facilitating intersectional affinity groups based on race and gender. These differentiated learning and accountability spaces for everyone allow participants to more intimately and vulnerably process stories and perspectives with minimized risk to groups who are not in the room. These small group conversations help everyone return to their work in multiracial and multigendered spaces with greater confidence, self-awareness, and cultural competence.
Meet the Facilitators
Our facilitation team has over 150 years of collective professional experience in the areas of education, racial literacy, and social work. Members of our team have been trained in racial literacy by Dr. Howard Stevenson and coached in white affinity group facilitation by Dr. Robin DiAngelo and Amy Burtaine. As humans, we are all on our own journey of healing and living in a community of love and resistance.
